I Am Here! HO-Ho-ho...

I have missed every deadline imaginable for the Holiday Hell Show and it is for a good reason. But before I give you that lame excuse, I wanted to tell you this season I am doing an Advent Calendar kind of thing with the show. Yes, I know I need to catch up six days and they are all hitting before tomorrow at 10am. (It's a timed execution) There will be videos and stories and reviews, not unlike the Halloween Hell Show.

So! Long story short, I am starting my own company. It has been a dream of mine for years to forge something from my experience in corporate and private-company America combined with years in the military and an education in business. I had a long hard think about it and like Andy Dufresne said in the Shawshank Redemption, "... you either get busy living or you get busy dying". I could spend the next twenty years thinking about doing something and always find an excuse. It is so easy to stay somewhere "because the money is good" or "after this next account" when actually if you really love something and have a passion, neither money nor some validation of praise means a thing. In fact, the second you decide where you want to go, these ties are broken and become only a memory of worries, not unlike reflecting on stresses of a test in middle school. It just seems silly.

I am still hard at work in my current profession but hoping to make a transition after the beginning of the year. So let's have some holiday fun now that I am not going mad with crushing stress from work and the deadlines which drive it. Tis the season for being grateful and happy so be happy damn it!
